Clownicorn!

June 30th, 2010 — 4:00pm

My little sister is terrified of clowns so I made her a special drawing of one with a unicorn horn to try and demonstrate how nice clowns are and help her get over her fear.

Now she is also afraid of unicorns.

Bull Dog!

June 21st, 2010 — 5:28pm

A bull dog for my Animal a Day project.

It hasn’t quite been one per day lately due to some life craziness but I am planning on sticking to it from now on.

Manatee!

Animal a Day: Manatee!

Sailors used to think the cries of the manatee were those of women who had been lost at sea or drowned.

Beetle!

June 13th, 2010 — 4:34pm

Today’s animal is actually an insect.

I like it when you lift up a rock in the garden an a beetle comes scuttling out. I always wonder what they must be thinking.

Hairless Cat!

June 12th, 2010 — 6:41am

I was thinking that the problems I was having the other day with the cat sketch were probably due to me being too precious with the fur.

I always get caught up in drawing each strand which just makes a mess. This is part of the reason I am doing this, to learn how NOT to be so precious with my drawings.

Not one to be easily defeated, I tested my theory and drew a hairless cat. Much, much better.
